Together with LGT Experts we will explore key aspects of the Swiss legal and financial system as well as long-term investment thinking shaped by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein. Benjamin Vetterli, Senior Family Advisor UHNWI, will share practical guidance on navigating Switzerland’s legal and social security systems, with a focus on cross-border retirement planning, tax optimization, inheritance, and family governance. Stephanie Bilgin, Senior Advisor for Private Markets will provide insight into the Princely Family’s investment strategy, highlighting the key role of Private Markets and lessons from 25 years of long-term portfolio building.

Following the presentations, you will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and expand your network over drinks and an aperitif in a relaxed atmosphere.

Benjamin Vetterli, Senior Family Advisor UHNWI, LGT Private Banking

Navigating Wealth, Retirement and Estate Planning across Borders

 

Benjamin Vetterli joined LGT in Zurich as Senior Family Advisor UHNWI in 2020 and has been advising companies and entrepreneurs on tax and legal issues for 20 years. From 2015 to 2019, he headed Wealth Planning Tax Solutions globally at UBS in Zurich. Between 2010 and 2015, he was responsible for the management of the tax, finance and succession advisory services for clients domiciled in Switzerland. From 2005 to 2010, he held various positions at UBS Wealth Planning Switzerland, first as Wealth Planner with a focus on entrepreneurs and executives and subsequently as Team and Desk Head Zurich/Central Switzerland. Between 2001 and 2005, Benjamin Vetterli worked in the Corporate Tax department of PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Consultant, advising various Swiss and foreign companies on tax and succession matters. Benjamin received his law degree (MLaw / Lic.iur.) from the University of Zurich in 1998 and successfully passed the bar exam after an internship at the District Court of Dielsdorf. Furthermore, while working at PwC in Corporate Tax, he completed his studies for the Swiss federal tax expert certification.

 

 

Stephanie Bilgin, Senior Advisor for Private Markets, LGT Private Banking

Crafting a Resilient Investment Strategy: Insights from the Princely Family’s Journey into Private Markets

 

Stephanie Bilgin joined LGT as a Senior Advisor for Private Markets in 2023. In this role, she counsels high net worth individuals and their advisors, as well as institutional clients at LGT locations across Europe on this topic. Previously, she spent six years at the multi-family office Cape Capital AG, where she headed the Private Markets division from 2019 to 2023. Between 2014 and 2017, she gained investment experience with two different venture capital funds, one in Switzerland and one in the USA, as well as working in strategy consulting. Mrs. Bilgin holds a Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and a Master’s degree in International Management from the National University of Singapore (NUS). She has been a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder since 2022.
