Guided tours to Johan Christian Dahl at Kunsthaus Zürich

Thanks to a donation of 16 paintings by the Norwegian art collector and entrepreneur Christian Sveaas, the work of the internationally renowned Norwegian painter Johan Christian Dahl (1788-1857) can been admired at the Kunsthaus Zürich since the beginning of September 2018.

Johan Christian Dahl is considered to be one of the most important representatives of Nordic landscape painting during the Romantic period, together with his friend, Caspar David Friedrich.

The one-hour guided tours through the atmospheric exhibition offer an insight into the artist’s interesting oeuvre, which can now be discovered alongside the impressive collection of the other Norwegian painter, Edvard Munch.
