The first concert of our annual cycle “SCANDINAVIA” is entitled “Norwegian Ways”. Edvard Grieg and his compatriot Johan S. Svendsen are intensively engaged with Norwegian folk music. Grieg’s Symphonic Dances and Svendsen’s Norwegian Rhapsody incorporate well-known melodies of this culture. The highlight of the evening will be Christian F. Barth’s oboe concerto, which we will have the pleasure of presenting with our soloist, Peter Vögeli. You can look forward to a Nordic listening pleasure!
